Dr Harris was a Big Ten Trampoline Champion, and Captain of the State Univeristy of Iowa (SUI) Gymnastics Team, and former sponser of Hawaii Hi-Fliers Trampoline Club at McCully Recreation Center. He is also the Originator of the forward rudy out fliffis, full-in branni-out fliffis, full-in rudy-out fliffis, and backward full-in full-out fliffis.
